OPPORTUNITIES

Music Coordinator

Help fill our beautiful, historic sanctuary with songs of worship!

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Lindsay is looking for a Music Coordinator to lead our congregation and musicians in worship as we go through a time of transition in leadership into our shared future.

We are looking for a servant-leader and a strong team-player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of both challenging and inspiring the congregation in song. They will demonstrate proficiency in musicianship, ideally with significant experience on piano and/or organ.

We expect that the commitment would be approximately 12-15 hours a week, which would include:

●       Working with the minister to plan worship services and musical selections

●       Leading a rehearsal as well as the Sunday morning worship music weekly, and for special services (Christmas Eve and Good Friday)

●       Adaptability and the ability to grow, and help us grow, while working with various different individuals and groups in planning, rehearsing, creating, recruiting, and reporting on musical activities within the church.

●       Building relationships within the church and hopefully the broader musical community to build on our strengths.

●       Initiating and reviving musical elements in our services which might include but are not limited to choir, children’s choir, instrumental groups, special music, or exciting ideas that you want to share with us

●       Ability to work with our technical team and administrator on ensuring that our Livestream, lyric sheets, audiovisual slides and sound work seamlessly

●       Having access to an extensive collection of music, an electric organ, and piano

We look forward to hearing from you if you are ready to lead in creatively developing a music ministry that is gospel-centred and faith-driven, values loving relationships and embraces social responsibility within the community and beyond.
