FINANCIAL UPDATE

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM SESSION

After considerable discussion and reflection, Session has accepted the recommendation of the search committee that we do not proceed with the call for the candidate they had been considering. The Search Committee remains actively engaged in its work to find the best possible person for the role of minister. We are extremely grateful to the Search Committee for all of their work in this very challenging endeavour. We all pray that God will guide us to the right person.

Once again your Outreach & Missions ministry team is beginning to shop for our annual Christmas Hamper program. It seems that with each passing year, the need increases. We have all observed the growing number of individuals who are homeless in our community and/or food deprived.

We have been grateful in the past few years for your generous support of this outreach to our community.

If you are able to help us financially to offer this service we will be extremely grateful.

Donations may be dropped off at the church office and marked “Christmas Hampers”. You may also choose to place a donation in your church envelope and mark it “Christmas Hampers”. Also, an e-Transfer to standrewslindsayfinance@gmail.com is welcome, with “Christmas Hampers” in the memo section.

Thank you for considering a contribution to this worthwhile cause.

Dianne Dalton,

On behalf of your Outreach & Missions Team

DAUGHTERS OF ST. ANDREW’S

The Daughters of St. Andrew’s met on October 28th for stone soup and the installation of their 2024-2025 slate of officers.

On November 3, the Daughters of St. Andrew’s celebrated their 70th Anniversary with a presentation to the church of a new Bible stand and cross for the Communion table.

To the end of September, St. Andrew’s has an operating surplus of approximately $1,200.00. We have had a higher than usual run of things breaking or needing repair. There are still some major items that need to be repaired but we are continuing to slowly make our way through the list. We hope to be caught up by the end of the year.

To October 31st, our Presbyterians’ Sharing total stands at $16,348.00. At our annual meeting last February the Outreach Committee set a goal for the congregation of $15,000.00. Way to go St. Andrew’s!!

Our outstanding mortgage balance to October 31st is $259,299.27. That’s not bad considering it once stood at $1,000,000.00!

The Ukrainian support appeal has raised $2505.00 so far. Great start St. Andrew’s!

CHRISTMAS TEA & LUNCHEON

The Women’s Groups are joining together to provide a Luncheon & Bake Sale on December 7 from 11-1. Baked goods and gift baskets will be available. We are in need of your special talents in creating delicious baked goods for our Bake Table.
