RECOLLECTIONS & REFLECTIONS:

STORIES FROM 150 YEARS of the PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH in CANADA

Ian McKechnie is working with the Committee on History of the Presbyterian Church in Canada to develop a book of stories for the 150th anniversary of the PCC, in 2025.

Do you have a favourite memory of singing in a choir, attending a youth group, going to a potluck supper, or attending the General Assembly — or anything else that shaped your involvement in church? What are your hopes and dreams for the PCC as it approaches 150 years?

Please contact Ian at pcc150book@gmail.com if you have any such stories, or fill out a helpful online questionnaire, which can be found at https://form.jotform.com/Presby/online-interviewquestionnaire-form.

Submissions for Recollections & Reflections: Stories from 150 Years of the Presbyterian Church in Canada are being collected through December 2024. Please consider contributing a story to this anthology about where we have been, where we stand, and where we are going as a denomination.

REFLECTIONS ON OLD VICTORIA COUNTY

On May 18th 2024, the Great Hall at St. Andrew's played host to a book launch that was attended by over 100 people.

Reflections on Old Victoria County is a collection of local stories, many being told for the first time, that pays tribute to the late author and historian, Dr. Rae Fleming (1944-2022), who originally initiated the project shortly before his untimely death. Pictured here are co-editors Tom Mohr (left) and Ian McKechnie (right), with graphic designer Katerina Alexakis (centre).

Copies of the book can be obtained from Ian or via Kent Bookstore.
