The sympathy of the congregation is extended to Rebecca McKeen and family on the death of her brother-in-law John McKeen of Orangeville.

We are looking for several individuals who are interested in building Christ-centered relationships at St. Andrew's. We meet every couple of months or "as needed" to plan events and support our existing groups with their efforts. SESSION SUMMARY – September 2018

Rev. Caleb Kim, of St. Andrew’s in Fenelon Falls, has been inducted as the new moderator of Presbytery.

An Ad Hoc Visitation Committee is formulating and putting into action, plans to have an active program of visitation for identified church members.

Mission Sunday will be on October 28 with guest speaker, Glynis Williams.

An evening of fun and frivolity featuring local home grown talent from our own congregation. Instrumentals, vocals, storytelling, and a few surprises.

Come out and enjoy the evening and bring your friends. Coffee and treats provided.

Tickets are available at the office for $2.00 each or two for $5.00 (and helps us know how many tables to set up.)

Position Description

The Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Lead Minister providing support in administering the business of the church in reaching its mission and vision: To know Christ, to grow in Christ, to serve Christ, to share Christ with the world.


o   A minimum of three years experience in an administrative support position

o   A minimum of three years experience using the most up to date computer systems and platforms

o   Experience in working in an environment which requires interaction with a broad spectrum of clients

o   Experience in working with volunteers


o   Extensive knowledge and practical application of both administrative systems such as Adobe, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and Power Church Plus (www.powerchurch.com), as well as social media platforms

o   Excellent communication skills

o   Proven ability to manage confidential information

o   Ability to work independently and in team with strong organizational skills

o   Knowledge of the structures and procedures of the Presbyterian Church in Canada is an asset

Administrative Support Duties

o   Attends and participates in meetings as required and directed by the Lead minister

o   Prepares the weekly Sunday Bulletin and other special service bulletins

o   Manages all office record keeping requirements

o   Provides first level of response to inquiries from both internal and external groups

o   Manages the sale of gift cards

o   Updates and maintains church calendar

o   Works cooperatively with the Session and the Building Usage Coordinator to record bookings from both internal and external groups

o   Prepares the Annual Church Report

o   Maintains the email distribution lists for church members

o   Assists with the updating of the church website

General Duties

o   Orders and monitors necessary purchases of office supplies

o   Manages distribution and tracking of church keys

o   Arranges for required maintenance of office equipment

o   Arranges for refreshments at meetings as required by the Lead minister

Hours of Work

Thirty –five hours of work per week with office hours 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a half hour break for lunch.  Vacation will be two weeks to be mutually agreed upon by the Lead Minister and the Personnel Committee.


The position will be compensated in accordance with the educational background and experience of the successful candidate.  The wage will be determined annually subsequent to an annual performance review.
